This dataset comprises survey and interview results from an investigation into the efficacy of motivational interviewing in engaging individuals with anorexia nervosa in treatment. Responses from 47 participants (2 male and 45 female aged between 16 and 37 years) are arranged in a database.
Participants were part of an inpatient anorexia nervosa population, assessed over three waves; at admission to hospital (baseline), and at 2 and 6 week follow up. Assessment were conducted face to face for participants in hospital and via the telephone for those who had been discharged.
The Anorexia Nervosa Stages of Change Questionnaire (ANSOCQ) was used for the study.
