Teacher-quality: Implications and outcomes in initial teacher education

Through a qualitative analytical approach applied in policy research, with the inclusion of Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA) and Framework Analysis (FA) analytical tools, comprehensive national initiatives directly connected to initial teacher education (ITE) available online (2010-2017) and the strong beginnings: report of the teacher education expert panel (2023) are analysed, with data compared and cross-checked for credibility and dependability. The qualitative research includes:

  • Table 1: Qualitative analytical approach applied in policy research.
  • Table 2: CDA nine-steps of analysis and FA five-steps of analysis.
  • Table 3: National initiatives: 2010-2017.
  • Table 4: National initiatives initial coding categories.
  • Table 5: National initiatives indexing and examination of the sources structure.
  • Table 6: National initiatives indexing, collection and examination of discursive statements
