Datasets associated with Davies et al. 2022 "Unparalleled mitochondrial heteroplasmy and Wolbachia co-infection in the non-model bee, Amphylaeus morosus", Current Research in Insect Science.

We describe widespread and conserved mitochondrial heteroplasmy in Australian native bee, Amphylaeus morosus and the co-occurring co-infection of the bacterial endosymbiont, Wolbachia across the species' distribution.

Amphylaeus_iontorrent_mtgenome.zip = compressed folder of the partial mitogenome alignment and raw data for a single Amphylaeus morosus individual with DNA sequence data generated using Ion Torrent shotgun sequencing.

Amphylaeus_sangerseq_mt-coi-gene.zip = compressed folder of DNA chromatograms of the (heteroplasmic) mitochondrial COI gene of 70 Amphylaeus morosus individuals with DNA sequences generated using Sanger sequencing.

Wolbachia_BEAST_phylog_log.zip = compressed folder of DNA alignment and BEAST2 phylogenetic log and output files for the phylogenetic analysis of the Wolbachia COI-like and wsp genes from host, Amphylaeus morosus.

Wolbachia_cloning.zip = compressed folder of DNA chromatograms of the cloning products of two Amphylaeus morosus individuals for the two Wolbachia gene regions wsp and COI-like, generated using Sanger sequencing.

Wolbachia_sangerseq_coi-like-gene.zip = compressed folder of DNA chromatograms of the Wolbachia COI-like gene region (with heterogeneious base pairs indicating a bacterial co-infection) of 27 Amphylaeus morosus individuals, with DNA sequences generated using Sanger sequencing.
